A blowout at 70mph is the worst place to lose a tyre. These are the stretches we cover, 24 hours a day, from our Atherton workshop.
J1 Kearsley to J9 Preston
Our home motorway. J5 Westhoughton is about four miles from the Atherton workshop, so the Bolton, Westhoughton, Horwich and Chorley junctions are the fastest callouts we do.
J21A Croft to J27 Standish
The busiest road in the North West. J23 Haydock and J25 Wigan are both a straight run down the A580 or A577 from us.
Worsley through Leigh and Lowton to St Helens
Runs right past Astley and Lowton. Fast dual carriageway with long gaps between lay-bys, which makes a blowout on it genuinely dangerous.
J12 Eccles to J17 Whitefield
We cover the western and northern arc of the ring road — Eccles, Worsley, Swinton and Prestwich — via the M61 or the East Lancs.
J11 Birchwood to J20 Rochdale
The Irlam and Warrington stretch westbound, and the Rochdale end of our patch eastbound.
J1 Eccles to J3 Regent Road
Short, busy and with narrow hard shoulders. The quickest way into Salford and the city centre from Atherton.
J3 Bickerstaffe to J5 Orrell
The western edge of the patch, reached off the M6 at J26.
